I am Izumi, a daughter of a spirited mother from the East. My name means fountainhead in my mother tongue. I come from a lineage of teachers, healers, traders, and poets, and I carry their gifts with me in all that I do.

Greetings! For nearly 30 years, I’ve walked alongside individuals, teams, and organizations navigating the complexities of leadership—often during times of strain, transition, or renewal. My work lives at the intersection of leadership and wellbeing, guided by the understanding that how we lead is inseparable from how we are. I’ve partnered with people from more than 65 countries across a wide range of fields, including healthcare, education, climate justice, philanthropy, social impact, and spiritual communities.

Over the years, I’ve co-founded a global leadership development company, designed programs for social impact professionals, and accompanied senior leaders through long-term coaching and learning journeys. I’ve served on boards, guided global teams, and led retreats and programs with communities around the world.

What endures, though, is not the roles or titles—it is my devotion to the inner wellbeing of those entrusted with the care of many. This work is an offering for those who hold others, so they too may be held.

Drawing on decades of lived and professional experience—along with wisdom traditions and expressive arts that invite greater awareness and aliveness—I bring open inquiry, steady presence, and deep respect for each person’s path. My approach is shaped by years of spiritual and embodied practice, which continue to teach me how to hold space, be with all beings, and honor the mystery of unfolding.

    I offer leadership and life coaching sessions online and in-person. You can be anywhere in the world to work with me, as long as you are ready to do the work. I’ve worked with a diverse group of clients around the world in the last two decades. I am a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach, and sessions are available in English, Spanish, or Japanese.

  • Training & Facilitation

    I will work with you to design customized half-day, day-long, and multi-day workshops based on your purpose and the outcome you seek. These workshops can be offered virtually or in person, centered around a theme or set of practices. The workshops are designed to help your team realize their highest potential.

  • Consulting

    I offer consulting services for needs related to wellbeing and leadership of your organization and partners. In addition, I consult to design new programs and redesign existing programs to be more effective and transformative.
